9A Worship - Jonah Goes Down

Last year we discussed the nature of the church at length. We talked about how the church is the people of God, on the mission of God, becoming the image of God in Christ, through the power of the Holy Spirit, for the glory of God. We’ve spoken at length about how God is at work rescuing people from the world, to equip them for work with him in his great mission of reconciling all things to himself. The one single word I’ve been using for this the church as “Embassy.”

Now this year we’re going to discover how this takes life throughout the Bible as we consider how Grace of Christ can be an Embassy of the Kingdom of God, and can even lead the way in becoming the future of what church can look like going forward.

The next few weeks we’re beginning with a mini-series on the book of Jonah.
