Greetings Friends in Christ!
This week we pick up our series on Peter again to find him racing to the empty tomb (and losing the race!). Peter and the disciples weren’t expecting the resurrection, just like they weren’t expecting the crucifixion. Jesus had continually told them he had to die and rise again. And this is the reason they misunderstood what his gospel was, because they misunderstood its scope. The good news wasn’t for Israel (alone), but for all of creation.
