SOZO is the Greek word translated saved, healed, and delivered
SAVED: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved (sozo).

ABOUT SOZO

SOZO ministry focuses on getting to the root of things that hinder our personal connection with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. With those connections healed, we can live more authentically in our identity in Christ—as a son or daughter of the King, walking in freedom and joy.

We all have areas where lies about God’s character have crept into our thinking. The lies usually formed when influential people in our lives unknowingly misrepresented God to us—often before we could reason. The lies may have resulted from emotional wounds and hurts, as well as faulty coping behaviors, developed to help protect ourselves from more pain. We’ve made assumptions about God and his thoughts toward us.

 During a SOZO prayer session, through forgiveness and insight from the Holy Spirit, the Lord makes a trade with us. He exchanges his truth for lies we have believed. We gain his perspective and see the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, others, and ourselves more accurately. We are delivered from deception, and Truth sets us free to live in our original design.

Personal Ministry Session

The SOZO team will sit down with you in a comfortable setting, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, help you discover the areas God wants to heal. A SOZO is not a counseling session, but a time of interacting with God so you can take up the fullness of your salvation.

SOZO sessions run about 2-2½ hours and are led by 2-3 team members, one of whom is an intercessor. Appointments are available Tuesday and Friday mornings starting at 9:15 AM and Thursday evenings starting at 6 PM.

HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT

THE PROCESS:

1. Choose one of the following ways to submit your SOZO application:
1.  Fill out the Online SOZO Application and Release Form below and be sure to click the submit button. You will immediately see a confirmation that your forms have been sent.
2.  Download the PDF of the SOZO Ministry Application and Release form.
  • Open the PDF with your PDF reader. You can fill in the PDF online, save the form and email to: Sozo@YakimaGrace.com
  • OR, you can print a copy to fill-in and mail to the church: Grace of Christ, ATT: SOZO Ministry, 9 S 8th Ave, Yakima WA 98902
3.  Pick up a copy of the SOZO Application and Release form at the church office and return it in person or by mail.
2. Call Grace Of Christ Church at 509-248-7940 if you have questions.
3. When we have received the completed forms, we will call you to schedule your SOZO session.

donations:

•  SOZO prayer ministers are unpaid volunteers, but there are other ministry expenses including ongoing training for the SOZO team.
•  For the value of time spent ministering to you, we ask you to make a donation of $50 or more.
•  Scholarships are available. If needed, please inquire when you submit your application.
We request you make the donation for your appointment when your appointment is confirmed—
at least several days before your scheduled ministry time.
